Cancellation & No-Show Policy
We value our patients' time and aim to provide the highest quality of care by ensuring that our schedule runs smoothly and efficiently. Missed appointments, late arrivals, and last-minute cancellations hinder our ability to assist other patients and disrupt our practitioners’ schedules. Please review our policy below:
1. 24-Hour Notice Requirement
We kindly request that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment. This notice allows us to offer the slot to another patient in need of care. If an appointment is rescheduled with more than 24 hours’ notice, no fee will be charged.
2. Late Cancellations & No-Shows
If a cancellation is made with less than 24 hours' notice, or in the case of a no-show, a cancellation fee of 50% of the consultation cost will apply. This fee helps cover our practitioners’ time and is not covered by any compensable bodies; it must be paid directly by the patient. Melbourne Physio Clinic may waive this fee in extenuating circumstances.
3. Late Arrivals
If you anticipate being late, please notify us as soon as possible. We will do our best to accommodate you, but please note that if another patient is scheduled immediately afterward, your appointment time may be reduced accordingly.
4. Repeated Missed or Late Cancellations
Patients who consistently cancel or miss appointments may be required to pre-pay or may be discharged from our care to allow them to focus on alternative treatment options that better fit their schedule. This policy ensures that we maintain a commitment to those patients who are able to attend consistently.
